    I bought this for my 4 year old as a Christmas gift. I helped him build it so he could understand how to use the interactive features. First off Mario is fun all by himself. My son has been using it on different colored surfaces just to see what effects will happen. The instructions are in color and easy to follow along with. I like the interactive building manual as well in case you need to see the build from a different angle or know what order to put the sections in to play along. He likes it so much he asked me to get Luigi and princess peach to pair with Mario.
    The interactive characters can link 2 at a time through Bluetooth and you get surprise gifts with them. I got this set on sale which makes it an even better value money wise. As far as Lego goes it is not the most sturdy build but Mario is and that’s the most important part. Gave 4 stars only because if you knock any of the pieces over you’re going to need to rebuild it
